Ready to solve your eye issues? Here are some of the most popular procedures available:

Surgical Procedures for the Eyes by Dr. Lo

Upper Eyelid Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty will give your eyes a more youthful appearance. During the upper eyelid procedure, excess skin is removed, which will tighten the underlying muscles, and reduce upper eyelid puffiness by addressing the fat pads.

The blepharoplasty procedure is performed at our in-office surgical suite, giving patients a relaxed and private surgical experience. Because Dr. Lo is one of the few fellowship-trained ophthalmic plastic surgeons—or oculoplastic surgeons—in the country, having trained in both cosmetic surgery and ophthalmology, many patients choose to have their eyelid surgery performed by him to get the best outcome.

Eyelid Ptosis Repair (Eye Lift)

A droopy eyelid is referred to as blepharoptosis. Someone with blepharoptosis may have one or both of the upper eyelids droop slightly or cover the entire pupil. This drooping of the upper eyelid can cause a tired or sleepy appearance, facial asymmetry, and reduced vision.

While patients often confuse this with a blepharoplasty, no skin is removed in this procedure and recovery is usually one or two weeks. This procedure should only be performed by an ophthalmic plastic surgeon with a great deal of experience.

Lower Eyelid Bags

Dark circles under the eyes, puffy eye bags, and baggy lower eyelids can be due to genetics or the natural aging process. Lower eyelid bags are caused by a combination of bulging lower lid fat pads, loss of volume of the face, and/or excessive skin and swelling.

Bulging of the lid fat pads happens when the tissues around the eye weaken and the fat pads protrude causing eye bags. Loss of volume and the general descent of the midface and cheeks can cause the dark circles or shadows under the eye. The excess of thin, crepey skin is caused by loss of collagen and elastin which happens as we age.

Lower eyelid blepharoplasty, or eye bag surgery, is a procedure that helps restore and refresh your lower eyelids, smooth and eliminate under-eye bags, reduce and fill dark circles, and improve wrinkles under and in the corners of the eyes, while creating a natural transition from lower eyelid to cheek.

Non-Surgical Procedures for the Eyes by About Faces Med Spa

If you feel you’re not ready for facial surgery, About Faces Cosmetic Surgery also performs non-surgical and minimally treatments to improve the appearance of the eyes:

Fat transfer and augmentation is a minimally invasive procedure which transfers a small amount of the body’s fat to areas of the face that have lost volume. Fat augmentation is commonly used in a number of areas because the injection of one’s own fat creates a natural look. Swelling and bruising may last for up to 2 weeks. The results of fat augmentation often last for years.

Other injection options: Botox®, Restylane, Cellenis Derma PRP Bio Filler are used to revitalize the eye area. Botox injections can temporarily smooth lines and wrinkles between the brows, around the eyes (crow’s feet), and lift the eyebrows for a brighter, more open gaze. Restylane, a hyaluronic acid filler, effectively addresses under-eye hollows and smooths the tear trough area. For mid-face volume loss that can make you look tired, hyaluronic acid fillers can be used restore youthful fullness. Cellenis Derma PRP, a cutting-edge BioFiller, uses your own PRP to create a natural collagen matrix for long-lasting volume. All of these treatments are performed in-office with no downtime. Trust Dr. R to expertly shape your brows and enhance your facial volume with natural results! 💉
